The Law was established in 1870 as a closed club for members of the legal profession. They were represented by R. Leigh at the games formation meeting at Pall Mall restaurant. The black team colour incorporated a red cross on the breast. The club only played on Wednesdays presumably due to the demands of the profession. Check out the histories and stories behind all the Ellis Rugby shirts and the legends that inspired these shirts in-store and online.
