The Law was established in 1870 as a closed club for members of the legal profession. They were represented by R. Leigh at the games formation meeting at Pall Mall restaurant. The black team colour incorporated a red cross on the breast. The club only played on Wednesdays presumably due to the demands of the profession. Check out the histories and stories behind all the Ellis Rugby shirts and the legends that inspired these shirts in-store and online.

Long sleeve navy three button polo with black collar, button placket and ribbed sleeve cuffs. It has the red cross applique on the left chest and the Law R.F.C. Founder Member embroidered on the right chest. The Ellis Rugby crest on the right sleeve and the red cross coat of arms on the left. An oversized 15 on the back and Ellis Rugby under the collar and Pride in the Jersey embroidered on the top back.
